Well, one evening you were pretty sleeping but didn't want to "give it up," so you and I were walking a lot. I walked by the door and realized that we hadn't "checked" on the birds in a day or two. So, I open the door, we look at the birds (kind of like you are doing to the picture.) Suddenly, you swing your arm and hit the wreath.........and the birds go flying.....most of them fly out into the yard, but one flew into the house. I was panicing!!! Daddy was at work so I called Granddaddy. He and Grandma were in Oxford. I was so afraid the bird was going to hurt himself, or fly somewhere and get "lost" and die, or my BIGGEST fear was that he would start pooping e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e!! Luckily, none of my fears came true, and your Daddy got home soon after the bird flew in, caught him, and put him back outside. I for sure learned my lesson. The birds never came back - I guess we scared them away. But, from now on we'll "check" on the birds without opening the door!

BaBy BiRdS!
We've had a bird's nest in our wreath on the front door for a long time. I'm not sure if it's the same bird that keeps having babies here or different birds. Recently we noticed that there were babies in the nest. While I was at work, you and Granddaddy checked on the birds. Sometimes when I got home, we'd open the door and check on them again. I assumed they couldn't "fly" as long as they were in the nest...
